Illogical Bureaucratic Logic

Counter-CutLaughter is good for the soul.  Our news would be hilarious if it weren’t so painfully true!

Incidents of social insanity have reached epidemic proportions to the point where it’s impossible to keep up with them.  They are literally consuming and destroying our society.  Some examples of our social insanity follow:

Our airwaves are inundated with smut and obscenity. Hence the FCC is overwhelmed with complaints of on-air indecency.

Their solution to the problem? Dump approximately 1,000,000 complaints into the wastebasket, call the matter closed, and attack the root cause of the problem by relaxing the standards to reduce the number of future complaints eligible for filing. Problem solved. Mission accomplished. Brilliant! Simply brilliant! Read more…

Boston Marathon Bombings

It’s one thing to deny historical facts thousands and hundreds of years ago. It’s another thing to deny that the Holocaust occurred 75 years ago. And it’s absolutely mind-boggling for a University professor to assert that the Boston Marathon bombings were staged! Yet that’s exactly what some college professors try to teach their students! Counter-Cut

Some examples of social insanity follow:

American Student Punished for Refusing to Recite Mexican Pledge of Allegiance

Whose citizens are we, anyway? Mexico or USA? Apparently Mexico…

The Gender Mess in Massachusetts

Massachusetts requires K-12 public schools to allow boys and girls to use the opposite sex’s locker rooms, bathrooms, and changing facilities as long as they claim to identify with that gender.  What were they thinking?

Is Scripture quoting sign that you’re nuts?

This is what happens when good becomes bad and bad becomes good. Hollywood predominantly displays Christian believers as insane.
But who is really the insane one?

Greenspan: Ignore The Economy, “Only The Stock Market Matters”

Unemployment apparently doesn’t matter.  Real inflation apparently doesn’t matter.  Our fiscal health apparently doesn’t matter.
Sounds like Greenspan has put the cart before the horse.
Does the stock market drive the economy, or is the stock market just a measure of the economy?

… and much more to come, for all is not as it looks!

Gun Smoke

December 19, 2012 Leave a comment

Counter-CutThere is lots of gun smoke filling our airwaves regarding the urgent need for gun control to prevent more instances of school violence.  I briefly alluded to this in the post Newtown.

Is there any verifiable correlation between crime rate and gun control?  What do the facts really say?

A quick search of the internet for “gun control and crime rate” provides many articles and studies showing just the opposite effect:  Gun control either increases crime rates or has no effect on them.  Most studies generally concluded that gun ownership – not gun control – is more likely to reduce crime rate.

One solitary article in the entire first page of results did not clearly support the above conclusion.  But even that one New York Times article begrudgingly admitted that crime rates dropped with gun ownerships and rose with gun control – although the article cited other unknown reasons as the cause of this situation.

Please you make up your own mind based on true facts and data.  This link, I believe, provides a good reliable, neutral source of much statistically accurate and truthful information.

Silenced

Several years ago I became familiar with the web site http://www.getchristiananswers.com/.  I have watched it mature and even contributed material periodically.  I do believe it’s a great and reliable Christian resource.  I also believe that most of the postings are based on solid fundamental, Biblically accurate Christian doctrine.

Unfortunately recent actions by Google may silence this Christian community forum by the end of the year.  Please don’t let that happen.

There have been ever more frequent instances of Christian websites being blacklisted by Google, Yahoo, and so on – often in response to governmental pressure – effectively silencing them because of Christian beliefs.  Please don’t let them silence this one also!  Help out by spreading the news or personally contributing whatever The LORD leads you to contribute.
