“When I die, I’m going to ask God….”

Actually, when you die and come face to face with God, you will be unable to speak.  You will ask Him nothing.  You will just fall to the ground in abject terror and mouth the words,
“Woe is me! Woe is me!  For I have sinned greatly,”
but not a sound will emerge from your mouth until God says, “Speak!”

We know this to be true from the Biblical accounts of godly people who have experienced God in His glory.  It is unimaginable how much more terrifying it will be for the ungodly!  Read more…

53,000,000 dead babies and counting.  How did we get here?
Our journey began with a simple and apparently innocent redefinition of the word “fetus.”

Counter-CutThere are indications in the independent media that all is not well in the abortion industry.  The procedures used by Gosnell may be more widespread than one would be led to believe:  Problems have been identified and are listed in 10 other states besides Gosnell’s home state of Pennsylvania.   Read more…

If God were “pro-abortion”, there would be no pro-choice people alive today.  In fact there would be no human race at all.  At least not as we know it.  How so? Read more…

Hypocrites and Pharisees

Counter-CutScarcely a month has elapsed since the Gosnell verdict, but it’s already “old news.”  Our mainstream media and our nation in general have sighed a big sigh of relief and gone back to life and death as usual.   Even the scant mainstream media coverage afforded the trial at its height has disappeared into the distant past like an unpleasant scolding.  But life and death continue unabated in America’s abortion clinics (abortuaries).

Then last Thursday John McCormack of The Weekly Standard magazine asked House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (a vociferous supporter of abortion) to explain the moral difference between Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s murder of infants born alive and legalized late-term abortion.   Read more…

Not Aborted

A mother with two beautiful, cheerful little girls, about 9 and 7, confided her personal story to me:

When I was pregnant with my first daughter, the doctors encouraged me to get an abortion. They told me that my daughter had Downs syndrome. That her abdomen was malformed and punctured. That she would live life as a vegetable. That she could not possibly survive, and an abortion is the only realistic option. And so on.

They would call and relentlessly try to convince me to have an abortion. With each call they painted an ever more depressing and painful picture of my child’s life and my life if I didn’t abort.

They even enlisted the help of my husband. The pressure was intense.
My husband and I kept praying to Jesus about this matter. He kept telling us “Don’t do it. Please don’t!”

Finally the last legal day for aborting passed, but the pressure from the doctors remained.
Now it was more like, “You’ll see, I told you so.”
Nevertheless I proceeded with the pregnancy to term.

Then she pointed to her older daughter and said proudly,
“Look at her! Isn’t she beautiful?
She is so artistic and creative! She loves to sing and paint.
All that’s wrong with her is that she’s left handed.”

Murder is Legal in the Name of “Choice” and “Freedom”

Counter-CutLaughter is good for the soul.  Our news would be hilarious if it weren’t so painfully true!

Incidents of social insanity have reached epidemic proportions to the point where it’s impossible to keep up with them.  They are literally consuming and destroying our society.  Some examples of our social insanity follow:

The gruesome facts are slowly trickling out from the Gosnell abortion-related infanticide trial in spite of an initial mainstream media blackout:

http://savingourfuture.com/2013/03/the-face-of-evil/

The trial judge summarily dropped three of the seven murder charges and five “abuse of corpse” charges without explanation. Apparently in the judge’s eyes dismembering a baby in the womb does not qualify as murder.

Newtown

Counter-CutThe school shooting in Newtown CT is a tragedy.  One can never fully appreciate the pain of losing a loved one, especially a young child, until one experiences it.  And I pray that I will never have to go through it.

My heart bleeds for the parents, relatives, and friends of all the victims, and I pray that they experience the peace of the LORD beyond all understanding, and the strength of the LORD beyond all human strength as they process this tragedy.

We have already begun to see the hand wringing and hear the same old questions from news commentators, “Who would do such a thing?  What could have possibly possessed a young man to commit such a heinous crime?  Why?”  and so on, just as we’ve heard these same questions asked and left unanswered after every other tragedy.  But then, a short while later we’ll forget the whole matter and go about our lives as before – except for those directly affected, who may never fully reconcile to the event.

The secular media has no answer to the difficult questions they raise.  They hypothesize and pontificate, “He was angry.” Or “He had a bad childhood.” Or “It was drugs.”  Or offer up any one of a dozen stock non-answers, because there is no earthly rational answer for such irrational deeds.  They blindly grope around because they don’t recognize the truth, that the answer is spiritual. Sex, Students, and Teachers

Counter-CutRegrettably we hear news of yet another teacher accused of sexual misconduct in a public high school. It seems so commonplace and boring today that it doesn’t receive even a moment’s attention in the mainstream media.  It’s not even news any more.

But the real shocker starts in paragraph 7 and has nothing to do with the teacher’s case: Read more…
