Therefore The Church, the body of Christ, reflects some of the characteristics of God, such as an all consuming fire.
Jesus Christ is getting ready for the final battle. He is preparing The Church to storm the entrenched fortresses of the enemy, evict, judge, and rule as rightful King over all the earth. Read more…

In the last essay we saw that today’s events are driven in large part by a cosmic spiritual war between God and Satan. If there is indeed such a spiritual war of cosmic proportions raging in our midst, one would expect to see some evidence of that conflict. More precisely, since God’s current offensive is pressed through The Church, evidence of this war should be most evident within The Church itself or through interactions between The Church and the world.
A Consuming Fire
One must understand the nature of something to find evidence about it.
God wages war as a consuming fire:
God is a consuming fire (Deu 4:24, 9:3, Isa 33:10-14, Heb 12:29)
Every war, but especially God’s spiritual war, rages like a forest fire. A forest fire burns furiously until extinguished or all the fuel is spent. Wars burn furiously and uncontrollably until all the fuel is spent. Read more…
