If God were “pro-abortion”, there would be no pro-choice people alive today.  In fact there would be no human race at all.  At least not as we know it.  How so?

God created everything.  He created Adam and Eve.

Everything was perfect until Adam and Eve messed everything up by disobeying God and committing spiritual adultery with Satan, God’s enemy.  Spiritual adultery?  Yes.  By valuing the enemy’s words more than God’s.  The undivided, exclusive respect and love owed God was redirected somewhere else – much as when a spouse cheats on his mate and commits adultery.

Through this act of spiritual adultery, Adam and Eve would be defiled and inherit Satan’s incurable, deadly, hereditary illness we call “sin.”  This hereditary illness permanently infects all their descendants – the entire human race.  (Kind of like a mother’s hereditary HIV/AIDS, drug addiction, etc. infects the baby.)  Jesus made this explicitly clear:

“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”  (Joh 8:44)

The consequence of this hereditary illness is suffering, death, and destruction.  When we abort a baby we are acting according to the character of our father the devil and causing suffering, death, and destruction.  We are not acting according to God’s character.

Furthermore, according to God’s laws all sinners (those who cause suffering, death, and destruction in this life) are themselves subject to eternal death and destruction.  Hence we are all – the entire human race –under an eternal death sentence.

Thus God could have rightfully chosen to abort the entire human race simply by destroying Adam and Eve in the womb of the Garden of Eden.  He could have been “pro-choice” and aborted us all.  Had He done so, no-one we know today would exist.

God would have been perfectly within his rights to choose and abort us all:

  1. He is the Creator, and the Creator has the right to destroy that which He creates.
  2. We have violated His laws and are under a death sentence.
  3. We are illegitimate the children of His sworn enemy; not His children.

But God chose otherwise.  He chose not to abort us.  Instead He chose to complete the project, go through with our birth, and heal the human race at great cost to Himself.  More than that, in spite of the fact that we are children of God’s sworn enemy Satan, God even chose to adopt us to be His own children:

By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. (1Jn 3:10)
…he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, (Eph 1:5)

How amazing is that?  How wonderful!  Don’t reject this amazing offer.  Commit yourself to Jesus Christ and become an adopted child of God today.

What does this have to do with abortion?  It’s really simple:

  • Since God created us, He has every right to destroy us – but He didn’t.
  • We do not create a baby; God does.  We have no right to destroy something we don’t create; therefore we have no right to destroy (abort) a baby created by God, just as we have no right to murder another human being.
  • Instead, we should follow His example:  We should go through with the “project” (birth) as He did.  Let us bring the baby to term and either nurture it ourselves or put it up for adoption.

After all, we ourselves – all believers – are adopted.
…And there are millions of couples desperately seeking to adopt a baby.

All is not as it looks!
