Messages: Message to America
This is the third post of this series. The posts form a single coherent unit intended to be read in its entirety. The series consists of the following inspirations received under similar circumstances over a period of years:
- Jihad – June 7, 2001)
- Shades of Gray (The New American) – August 1, 2001
- Message to America – Apr. 12, 2013
If “Shades of Gray” represents the indictment, “Jihad” the warning, then this message is the judgment.
The Message
I had just finished reading the book “Compelled by Love” last night and was in the process of going to bed when this message came to me. I simply had to write it down verbatim, immediately without delay. I don’t use the Name of the Lord lightly or in vain, but in this case I felt compelled to write these exact words:
The Word of the LORD came to me about America:
“You have exalted yourselves above the Heavens and have forgotten your first love,” says the LORD God. “Therefore I shall lay you low whence you came that you may remember and repent of your evil ways and know that I am the LORD your God, your provider and protector.” I the LORD have spoken.
So let us be warned and be ready. Let us all draw near to Christ Jesus, repent of our sins, and cry out for forgiveness and mercy for He alone can save.
As Mac Powell sings in “By His Wounds”,
He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace
Was upon Him
And by His wounds
By His wounds, we are healed
…
What can wash away my sin
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
There is still time. Is there a will?
