I was absolutely appalled at the brutality and barbarism described.
I was alarmed that this attitude is not limited to Afghanistan, but may in fact be relatively prevalent around the world.
I was angered by males who refuse to take personal responsibility for their manhood and continue to blame women for the males’ inability to control themselves – such males are not men, but simply brutish animals.
I was concerned because we in this country are beginning to see women depicted primarily as exploitable sex objects in the arts and the media, instead of human beings worthy of respect and love – the first step on the slope to female oppression and exploitation.
Lastly I was saddened by our fearless leader’s decision to simply turn tail, run, and leave Afghanistan to the Taliban when we were, in fact, making slow but steady progress – it all reminded me of the Vietnam debacle.
