Climate Change Examined

August 31, 2012 Leave a comment

Counter-CutMuch has been said and written about global warming.  When doubt was cast on the accuracy and validity of the global warming theory, it was renamed “climate change.”  I must admit that anybody who believes there is no such thing as “climate change” is a fool.  Clearly climate, or weather, is not the same year to year or age to age.  But does that necessarily support the hypothesis that man-made activity is bad for the climate?  I decided to examine the question a little more deeply. Climate Change

Counter-CutI used to be a strong believer in global warming, but no more.  I think it’s just normal weather cycles in a lot of hot air:

This is just one of many charts depicting global cooling, instead of global warming.  That’s why “climate change” is the new banner.

This one, on the other hand claims it’s getting warmer, and even concludes that the warming is man-made.

This one claims it’s getting cooler.–not-catastrophic-global-warming

Here you’ll find a number of images supporting whatever your opinion.

This one actually correlates our “national debt to GDP ratio” and “global temperature changes”!  So let’s eliminate the national debt and bring on the cooling.

What’s going on here?  The next essay will examine the situation in more depth and attempt to discern the truth.

Counter-CutIran supports and foments murder by the Syrian regime, and then plays the “savior” card by calling for a Syrian cease fire at the U.N.  And the U.N. not only buys it, but calls Iran crucial to the region!

Iran consistently calls for the annihilation of Israel, is actively pursuing the development of nuclear weapons, defies the U.N.; and the Arab nations want Israel to willingly give up its only credible defense against them:  Nuclear weapons.  And the Western envoys continue to hope for a nuclear free Middle East?

Counter-CutGod created man and woman, equal in the eyes of The LORD:

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3:28)

Iranian Nukes?

Counter-CutWe routinely hear news about Iran’s “peaceful” nuclear program.  Some say that the sanctions are working and one day Iran will stop its nuclear ambitions.  Those people may be deluding themselves, because now even the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) – the very organization charged with enforcing Iran’s “peaceful” nuclear program – is crying foul. Constitutional Literacy

Counter-CutIn a previous essay I reviewed and recommended that everyone watch “Politics Easy as P.I.E.”  The fundamental truth demonstrated in that series of videos is that American prosperity is the direct result of the freedoms we have enjoyed as a society.  The equation is simple:  No freedom, no prosperity.

Our freedoms are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.  But how solid are those guarantees?  They are only as solid as we the people – each generation – make it.  And unfortunately, those freedoms are easily lost, as evidenced by the recent ObamaCare fiasco.  Today those guarantees appear to be little more than the vague promise of a sunny day tomorrow by an unreliable weatherman.

Is that really the case?  To answer that question I recommend that everyone become familiar with the original intent of the Constitution and its current interpretation by viewing “Constitutional Literacy” with Michael Farris (Links provided at the end of this review). Read more…
