The Amateur

Counter-CutThis is a book review of “The Amateur – Barack Obama in the White House” by Edward Klein.
This book is a “must read” for every American voter.

The book is highly readable and difficult to put down once started.  You will read revelations you never expected and you will learn of facts suppressed by the mainstream media.  The only topic left untouched, as far as I could tell, is the birth-certificate issue.  Jeremiah Wright is interviewed at length about his relationship with Obama.  The University of Chicago years are examined in depth.  Major political infighting and backstabbing within the White House are explored in several aspects, including Obama’s war on the military leadership.  Obama’s personal relationships, such as his relationship to Oprah Winfrey, are explored in some detail.  The book paints a frightening picture of a

“man who is at bottom temperamentally unsuited to be the chief executive and commander in chief of the United States of America.   …  a president who is inept in the arts of management and governance, who doesn’t learn from his mistakes, … who blames all his problems on those with whom he disagrees, … who discards old friends and supporters when they are no longer useful, … and who is so thin-skinned that he constantly complains about what people say and write about him.”  (Loc 49)[1] Read more…

Eye to Eye (addendum)

I was just studying Isaiah and came across the following passage.  These words, spoken by The LORD through His prophet Isaiah, emphatically reinforce the premise of the book  “Eye to Eye – Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel” by William Koenig.  (See book review.)
Isa 41:8-14, ESV translation, emphasis added:

“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, my friend;
you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”;
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

 Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.
You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all.
For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

 Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the LORD; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.”

The last sentence is particularly illuminating.  It provides a God’s eye perspective of man and punctuates just how much greater God is than man.  We are but worms in His eyes, but He still loves us enough to sacrifice Himself to redeem us.  How amazing is that?

AMERICA, LISTEN UP!  Picking a fight with The LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth,  by forcing the Jews out of the promised land is a losing proposition.  All who do so shall surely perish.

Counter-CutDr. Mary Neal, author of “To Heaven and Back: A Doctor’s Extraordinary Account of Her Death, Heaven, Angels and Life Again,” was interviewed about her near-death experience recently on the Today Show.  She was pinned underwater unable to breathe for a minimum of 15 minutes, died, experienced Heaven, and came back.  Click here to enjoy the interview.

Her experience is not that unusual.  I’ve read numerous accounts of comparable experiences.  Pictures of signed official death certificates were included in some books; I recall a funeral photograph in one account! Read more…

Counter-CutThis is a brief book review of “Eye to Eye – Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel” by William Koenig.

I give the book a thumbs up.  It’s an interesting and stimulating read.  Unfortunately the chronology stops in 2005; I’d love to see it continued to the present, but the point is emphatically made nevertheless.  Every American citizen should study these facts before casting their vote for the best solution of “the Middle East problem.”
